1 John
• 1 John 1:2 we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life
• 1 John 1:4 “we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete”
• 1 John 1:5 “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all”
• 1 John 1:6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
• 1 John 1:7 if we walk in the light...we have fellowship with one another, & the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
• 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
• 1 John 2:1–2 if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins
• 1 John 2:3 "we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments”
• 1 John 2:5–6 By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
• 1 John 2:14 I write to you…because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
• 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the desires of the flesh…the eyes & pride of life, is not from the Father but is from the world.
• 1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
• 1Jn2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us
• 1 John 2:23 “No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.”
• 1 John 2:28 abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.

• 1 John 3:16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
• 1 John 3:11,18 this is the message that you have heard...we should love one another...let us not love in word or talk but in deed & in truth
• 1 John 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
• 1 John 4:8 “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
• 1 John 4:10 "In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
• 1 John 4:11 "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
• 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
• 1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.”
• 1 John 5:4 this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
• 1 John 5:12 “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
• 1 John 5:13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”
• 1 John 5:14 if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
• 1 John 5:18 “everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but…[Jesus] protects him, & the evil one does not touch him.”
• 1 John 5:19 “We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”
• 1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
