1 Thessalonians

•   1 Thess 1:2 “We give thanks to God for all of you!”

•   1 Thessalonians 1:6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit

•   1Thess2:4 we have been approved by God to be entrusted w/the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts

•   1 Thessalonians 2:12 “walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.”

•   1 Thessalonians 2:5–6 we never came with words of flattery…nor with a pretext for greed…Nor did we seek glory from people
