James

•   James 1:2-3 Count it all joy…when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

•   James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life”

•   James 1:13 “For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;

•   James 1:14 “each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed”

•   James 1:15 “Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”

•   James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation

•   James1:19–20 let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God

•   James 4:4 “friendship with the world is hatred toward God..Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”

•   James 4:6 “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

•   James 4:7-8 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, & he will flee from you. Draw near to God, & he will draw near to you.”

•   James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

•   James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

•   James 4:15 you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”

•   James 4:17 "So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.”

•   James 5:7,9 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. …Do not grumble against one another

•   James 5:11 we consider those blessed who remained steadfast….you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate & merciful

•   James 5:12 do not swear…by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

•   James 5:14 “Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him &anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.”

•   James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”

•   James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful.”

•   James5:20 “whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death &will cover a multitude of sins”
